Pakistan’s normal tax year beginning on 1 July 2018 runs through 30 June 2019 and is designated Tax Year 2019. The normal tax year that ended on 30 June 2018 is Tax Year 2018.
Anyone required to file an income tax return for Tax Year 2018 should review their filing obligation, assemble supporting records and prepare an accurate return. For individuals and associations of persons whose returns are subject to the ordinary deadline, the last day for filing is 30 September 2018, unless an official extension applies. Other taxpayer categories or special tax years may have different deadlines.
