Pakistan’s normal tax year beginning on 1 July 2019 runs through 30 June 2020 and is designated Tax Year 2020. The normal tax year that ended on 30 June 2019 is Tax Year 2019.
Anyone required to file an income tax return for Tax Year 2019 should review their filing obligation, assemble supporting records and prepare an accurate return. For individuals and associations of persons whose returns are subject to the ordinary deadline, the last day for filing is 30 September 2019, unless an official extension applies. Other taxpayer categories or special tax years may have different deadlines.
