Pakistan’s normal tax year beginning on 1 July 2022 runs through 30 June 2023 and is designated Tax Year 2023. The normal tax year that ended on 30 June 2022 is Tax Year 2022.
Anyone required to file an income tax return for Tax Year 2022 should review their filing obligation, assemble supporting records and prepare an accurate return. For individuals and associations of persons whose returns are subject to the ordinary deadline, the last day for filing is 30 September 2022, unless an official extension applies. Other taxpayer categories or special tax years may have different deadlines.
